Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Your adventure through Andalucia will begin with arrival to Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport, where you will be welcomed by your private chauffeur. Set off for the dazzling center of Sevilla for check-in to your 18th century palace turned chic five-star hotel. This evening you will celebrate the start of your Encounter with an elegant dinner of modern Andalusian cuisine at one of the city’s most refined eateries.

Day 2

Discover the scenic neighborhoods and spirited atmosphere of Sevilla’s UNESCO designated historic core during a private walking tour. Your local expert will lead you through such defining sites as the 15th century Sevilla cathedral, burial site of explorer Christopher Columbus and admired for its Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Visit the city's crown jewel, the Alcazar palace, with its sprawling gardens and sumptuous interiors combining Moorish and Renaissance flourishes, before enjoying free time to dine at one of the city’s many bustling eateries or continue exploring independently. Tonight experience the essence of authentic Andalusian Flamenco during a special performance, accompanied by an acclaimed Flamenco artist. End the night savoring local tapas at the city’s most lively taverns.

Day 3

Set off to explore Andalucia’s breathtaking “Pueblos Blancos” (white villages), nestled along the Sierra de Cadiz. Delight in the signature whitewashed architecture and enchanting period charm of the region’s most tucked-away towns, including Arcos de la Frontera, before traveling to the dramatic city of Ronda, immortalized by writer Ernest Hemingway. Suspended above the imposing El Tajo gorge, admire the city’s impressive network of bridges, the Puente Nuevo, Puente Viejo and Puente Romano, while falling in love with the romance of Ronda’s oldest quarter, La Ciudad. Stop to savor lunch at an atmospheric eatery frequented by generations of Spain’s most esteemed bullfighters, before visiting Ronda’s grand Plaza de Toros, the country’s oldest bullring.

Day 4

Today you will experience the the culture and traditions of the province of Cadiz. Visit one of Spain’s most precious horse reserves who are committed to the preservation of the original Carthusian horse breed. Enjoy a privately guided tour of the estate, its stables and antique collection of horse drawn carriages, before observing expert trainers working with the property’s prized horses. Spend the afternoon exploring the region’s illustrious Sherry Triangle with an exclusive visit to one of Cadiz’s oldest and most globally revered bodegas. Experience a private cellar tour before enjoying a special seated tasting of the producer’s premium sherries, ranging from Fino to Pedro Ximenez, while savoring local jamon, queso (cheese), and olives.

Day 5

Bid farewell to Sevilla as you travel to the UNESCO designated center of Córdoba, the second largest old town in all of Europe. Led by your local expert, discover the city’s ancient Roman Bridge with its Torre de la Calahorra, vestiges of the medieval Mills of the Guadalquivir, and the luscious gardens of the Alcazar, former castle of the Caliphate of Córdoba and later the Christian Monarchs of Spain. Next, experience one of Spain’s greatest treasures, the 8th century Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. With its emblematic arcades of red and white striped Moorish arches, gilded Mihrab (prayer niche), and Renaissance Capilla Mayor, the Mezquita is an incredible journey through time, from its Roman origins, to its Christian and Moorish patrimony. Stop for a lunch of typical Cordobesa dishes like salmorejo in the heart of Old Town, then enjoy free time to explore the city’s picture perfect neighborhoods at your own pace. Depart Córdoba for Granada and check-in to your luxurious boutique hotel. Tonight, savor a gourmet tasting menu of regional flavors while admiring the sparkling lights of Granada from your panoramic dinner spot.

Day 6

With the help of your private guide, today you will embark on an intriguing exploration of Granada, beginning with reserved entrance to the city’s magnificent 9th century palace of the Alhambra. Discover the oldest section of the complex, the Alcazaba fortress, before exploring the wondrous Nasrid palaces and courtyards with their elaborately designed coffered ceilings, carved stucco, brilliant mosaics, and intricate arabesque and geometric patterns. Your visit of the Alhambra will culminate with a tour of the serene palace and courtyards of the Generalife, before traversing the site’s lush gardens adorned with citrus trees, complex water features and colorful flowerbeds. For lunch you will dine at a charming restaurant nestled in Granada’s picturesque medieval Moorish district of El Albayzin, before strolling through its labyrinth of narrow and winding streets accented by “carmens” (traditional homes with secret gardens).

Day 7

Bid farewell to Granada as you check-out and depart for Malaga-Costa Del Sol Airport by chauffeur, in preparation for your return flight or the next leg of your adventure.
