Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive to Milan Malpensa Airport where you will be greeted by your private chauffeur and depart for Genoa, the onetime mighty maritime republic that remains today one of Europe's most import sea ports. Arrive at your grand five-star hotel located in the historic core of the city and enjoy the afternoon to begin exploring at your leisure. In the evening indulge in a dinner of typical Genovese flavors at a revered eatery beloved by the locals.

Day 2

Be greeted by your local expert and begin your day of private touring by discovering the city's UNESCO World Heritage Strade Nuove. Comprised of the Palazzi dei Rolli, a network of 16th century noble palaces, you will learn about the aristocratic families of the period, and Genoa's heritage as a wealthy maritime power with strong ties to the New World. Stop for a lunch of local specialties like spaghetti allo scoglio and Ciuppin in the astoundingly well-preserved medieval center. End the day traversing the antique grid of Genoa’s most historic streets and hidden piazzette, before visiting the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo.

Day 3

Depart on a scenic drive to the ancient fishing village of Boccadasse where your local guide will help you discover its intriguing history and quaint beachfront lined with art galleries and gelato shops. Next travel to a nearby town known for its elegant 16th and 17th century villas, public green spaces, and seaside promenades. Enjoy a lunch of fresh fish at a noted waterfront trattoria before returning to Genova for a free evening.

Day 4

Depart Genoa by chauffeur and wind your way along the scenic Ligurian Riviera coastline before reaching the medieval fishing village of Camogli. Visit the town at your leisure before departing for the scenic town of Sestri Levante, nestled along the Bay of Silence. Delight in a lunch of coastal inspired cuisine at a historic cantina in the heart of town, before taking a leisurely stroll along the promontory's scenic cobblestone streets. In the late afternoon your chauffeur will transport you to stunning Santa Margherita Ligure for check-in to your elegant four-star seaside retreat.

Day 5

Be intoxicated by exquisite Mediterranean views as your local expert accompanies you along the jewel toned dreamscapes of the Riviera coastline. Begin the day with a leisurely hike from Santa Margherita Ligure along a stunning coastal path that overlooks the sea. Visit the charming harbor of Portofino and stop for a lunch of Riviera delicacies, before departing on a stunning boat ride to the Bay of San Fruttuoso to admire its waterfront abbey and charming beach.

Day 6

Today your local guide will take you on scenic train ride to the quaint fishing hamlet of Riomaggiore at the southernmost point of Cinque Terre. Embark on a leisurely walk from Riomaggiore to the town of Manarola, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Mediterranean along the way. In Manarola stop for a well deserved lunch of regional specialties then depart for Monterosso to visit the shop of an artisan limoncino producer for a sampling of their finest distillations. Spend a free afternoon enjoying Monterosso’s vibrant seaside culture at your own pace.

Day 7

Whisk away via chauffeur for a day of sightseeing in Lerici, coined the “pearl of the gulf” by Virginia Woolf. Your local guide will take you on a special walking tour of the town to admire its historic castle, said to have inspired Mary Shelley's iconic "Frankenstein", and a stroll along the same waterfront promenade that conjured romantic musings from Lord Byron.
