Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Your gourmand getaway will begin with arrival to Geneva Airport where you’ll be welcomed by your private chauffeur and transported to your five-star Belle Époque palace nestled along the shores of Lake Geneva. In the evening enjoy an elegant welcome dinner at your hotel’s acclaimed two Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 2

In the morning you’ll set off for the fairytale landscapes of Vevey for a guided exploration of its Chablais wine appellation. Begin with a visit to the 12th century Aigle Castle, located amidst a dreamy vineyard between the Alps and Lake Leman. Visit its Vine and Wine Museum to learn about the area’s ancient winemaking traditions built upon the Chasselas grape varietal, before tasting a special vintage from the castle cellar. You will next visit the vineyard estate of a historic producer renowned for their production of fine Chasselas wines, and enjoy a special winery tour followed by a tasting. From the vineyards of Aigle you will next visit the lovely lakeside town of Montreux. Savor a relaxing lunch before departing on a walking tour to experience its beautiful waterfront promenade and quaint town center, including its main square, the Place du Marche. In the afternoon delight in a very special chocolate making lesson at a noted Vevey chocolatier, where you’ll create your very own cocoa confection.

Day 3

Today you will whisk away to the UNESCO World Heritage terraced vineyards of Lavaux for a day of wine tasting along the region’s picturesque wine route. Begin with a visit to one of the appellation’s oldest and most charming wine estates for a glimpse into the unique winemaking history of the region before enjoying a cellar tour and tasting of their exceptional Lavaux AOC and Chasselas wines paired with local gourmet products. You will next visit the estate of one of Lavaux’s most storied family of vintners, for a special tasting of their prolific Lavaux AOC wines that are an homage to the family’s centuries-old wine making traditions. For lunch you will savor contemporary wine country cuisine while admiring magnificent panoramic views of the Lavaux vineyards kissing the shores of Lake Geneva.

Day 4

Get acquainted with the regional cheese making traditions that have made Gruyere one of the Fribourg canton’s most delectable gastronomic offerings. Start the day with a visit to an artisanal cheese farm where you’ll be introduced to the antique methods for crafting the region’s signature Gruyere cheese, followed by a delicious sampling. For lunch, you’ll experience an authentic fondue meal within the cozy environs of a rustic mountain hut. In the afternoon, travel by chauffeur to the charming medieval village of Gruyeres for which the local cheese is named. Set off with your local guide to explore this quaint locale at the foot of the Pre-Alps and discover why it is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in all of Switzerland. From the center of town you will next visit its 13th century Gruyeres Castle to admire the building’s fairy tale architecture and breathtaking French-style gardens while learning about its heritage as the seat of the noble House of Gruyeres.

Day 5

Depart the bucolic lake front of Lausanne for the lush landscapes of the Neuchatel canton for an intriguing journey along its fabled Absinthe route in the Val de Travers. Known as the birthplace of the mysterious distillation made from wormwood, you’ll arrive at an artisanal distillery to learn about the roots of Absinthe production in the valley before tasting the distiller’s small batch creations made from organically grown wormwood and other aromatic herbs. Next, travel to the town of Motiers to visit a boutique Absinthe distillery known for their own quality production as well as a fine collection of distillations from other valley producers. After a tasting of their most unique offerings, enjoy a lunch of regional recipes inspired by the valley’s fresh seasonal produce. From the forested hillsides and green pastures of the Val de Travers travel by chauffeur to Lake Neuchatel where you’ll arrive at your chic five-star design hotel built literally upon the lake. Settle in with a lovely dinner at your hotel’s gourmet restaurant featuring exquisite panoramic views of the lake.

Day 6

In the morning you’ll depart by chauffeur to discover the sumptuous flavors of Neuchatel. Stop at an artisanal cheese dairy to discover the producer’s unique take on local cheeses, such as Britchon and Neuchatel tomme, before delighting in a tasting of their creamy creations. What could go better with the local cheese, than the local wine? You’ll continue your gastronomic journey through Neuchatel with a visit to one of the region’s finest sparkling wine producers. Enjoy a tour of the estate and aging caves before tasting the wine maker’s dazzling vintages. Travel to the namesake capital of the region, Neuchatel, to savor lunch within the scenic surroundings of its Old Town, followed by a privately guided walking tour of its medieval streets, enchanting fountains and splendid lake front.

Day 7

Bid farewell to Lake Neuchatel and depart by private chauffeur for Geneva Airport for your return flight home.
