Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Begin your culinary journey through Italy’s Slow Food capitals by arriving at Milan Malpensa airport where you will be greeted by your private chauffeur who will transport you deep into Piemonte wine country. Settle-in to your luxury palace retreat set amidst the vineyards of famed Barolo producer Michele Chiarlo in the heart of the Langhe. Upon arrival enjoy a vertical tasting of Michele Chiarlo Barolo vintages followed by a dinner of classic Piemontese dishes.

Day 2

Start your day with a visit to an artisanal torrone and gianduja confectioner in the town of Asti and partake in a private tour of the facility before tasting a sampling of their best treats. Afterward your private guide will lead you on a historical walking tour of Asti’s medieval towers and noted cultural sites before you stop for a lunch of Astigiani classics including the famed bagna caôda. After lunch your chauffeur will transport you to the charming wine producing town of Barolo to the cantina of one of the region’s most distinguished producers of Nebbiolo and Barolo vintages. Enjoy a private winery tour of the estate’s cellars followed by a five-flight wine tasting. After your visit spend some free time in Alba before being transported to a historic castle nestled in the heart of Le Langhe’s vineyards for a Michelin-starred feast. After dinner return to your hotel via private chauffeur.

Day 3

Embark on a gastronomical adventure as you trek through the lush, rolling green hills of Monferrato in search of the elusive tartufo bianco (white truffle). You’ll be led by an expert trifulau that is a member of a noted family who have been scouring their native Piemontese forests for this clandestine treasure for generations. After the exhilaration of a real truffle hunt, whisk away to a nearby hilltop vineyard for an exclusive lunch and wine tasting in the home of an artisanal wine producer. After lunch visit ta renowned Grappa distillery where you’ll taste a flight of their signature digestivi. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon to freshen up then in the early evening, your chauffeur will take you to the acclaimed restaurant of Michelin-starred chef for an exclusive cooking class where you will be immersed in the rich culinary traditions of Piemonte. Dine on your creations before your chauffeur transports you back to your hotel.

Day 4

Depart Piedmont's wine country for elegant Turin with the magnificent backdrop of the Alps. After checking in to your deluxe four-star hotel be met by your local expert who will take you to one of the city's most famed historic cafes for a hot cup of the city's signature "bicherin." Afterward visit the city's architectural wonder the Mole Antonelliana before heading to the original Eataly set in an old vermouth for a lunch celebrating local Slow Food producers. End your day with a visit to the Lingotto and its illustrious rooftop race track.

Day 5

Enjoy a morning at your leisure then in the afternoon visit Piemonte's preeminent beer maker and relish in a beer tasting before a dinner paired with premium brews.

Day 6

Depart Piemonte for the countryside of Parma arriving via private chauffeur to your deluxe 14th century country estate and organic farm. Enjoy an afternoon cooking lesson led by the head chef of a Michelin starred restaurant and learn the art of fresh pasta making in the Parmigiano tradition. In the evening, indulge on a gourmet dinner of regional classics such as tortelli di zucca, while tasting the farm produced and award winning culatello di zibello cured meats. Spend your final day in Emilia-Romagna in the epicurean gem of Bologna. In the morning your chauffeur will transport you to Bologna where you will enjoy a foodie walk through the city with your local guide. Explore Bologna’sfarmer’s market, artisanal food shops and salumerias while sampling traditional products along the way. Stop for lunch at one of the city’s most historic trattorias then enjoy some free time to stroll Bologna’s boutique shops and picturesque streets. End your day with a wine tasting in the Colli Bolognesi producing countryside surrounding Bologna. Return to your hotel in the evening via private chauffeur.

Day 7

Get started on a full day of epicurean appreciation as you taste your way through some of Emilia-Romagna’s greatest culinary delights and learn more about the celebrated food traditions of this incredible region. Be greeted at your hotel by your private guide and chauffeur and depart for an artisanal Parmigiano Reggiano farm where you will experience first hand the “birth” of the king of cheeses and sample an array of aged variations. Afterward travel to Modena, the city that made Balsamic Vinegar a gourmet mainstay. Visit the 200 year-old barrels of a prestigious balsamic vinegar producer that has been refining the art of making the perfect vinegar for generations. While your palate has been whet by delicious bites throughout the morning, stop for lunch in the center of the city where you’ll dine on true Modenese fare that has been desired the world over. In the afternoon your private driver will take you through Emilia-Romagna’s countryside where you will stop to visit a noble castle before returning to your hotel in the early evening.

Day 8

Spend your final day in Emilia-Romagna in the epicurean gem of Bologna. In the morning your chauffeur will transport you to Bologna where you will enjoy a foodie walk through the city with your local expert. Explore Bologna's farmer's market, artisanal food shops and salumerias while sampling traditional products along the way. Stop for lunch at one of the city's most historic trattorias then enjoy some free time to stroll Bologna's boutique shops and picturesque streets. End your day with a wine tasting in the Colli Bolognesi before returning to your hotel.

Day 9

Depart via private chauffeur for your return flight home or the next leg of your trip.
