Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive to Milan Malpensa Airport where your private chauffeur will be waiting to welcome you. Be transported through Piemonte’s landscape of the tiny hilltop villages and iconic vineyards, before arriving at your sumptuous wine country retreat. This evening, you’ll celebrate the start of your Piedmontese journey with an elegant dinner of refined regional fare at an acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 2

Today you will experience the majesty of Barolo and Barbaresco vintages with exclusive visits to some of Piedmont’s most storied producers. Embark on a private winery visit followed by an exclusive five-flight tasting of single vineyard cru Barolo, before delighting in a cellar visit and tasting at a premier, boutique producer of Barbaresco DOCG. wines. For lunch, you’ll be enchanted by sweeping vineyard views as you savor typical Piemontese cuisine alongside the locals at a classic ristorante. Spend the afternoon visiting the UNESCO designated, 14th century Castello di Grinzane Cavour before exploring the boutique lined avenues and gourmet treasures of Alba independently.

Day 3

Delight in a day spent discovering the artisan cheese and chocolate making traditions of Piedmont. Led by a local expert, you will spend the morning visiting a rustic cheese farm to learn about the producer’s authentic production of local Robiola, before enjoying a lunch of country-inspired dishes prepared with farm fresh ingredients. Your afternoon will include a visit of the village of Cherasco where along the way, you’ll stop at a historic chocolatier credited as the birthplace of the traditional “Baci” confection. Crown the day with a special wine and charcuterie pairing at a renowned, small batch producer in Dogliani wine country.

Day 4

This morning you will delve into the traditions surrounding Piemonte’s rare culinary delight, the coveted truffle. Enjoy a special visit to the shop of a noted truffle hunting family to learn about the mythology surrounding the region’s prized truffles, before sampling their artisanal truffle products and pates. Next, set off for an acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant where you will roll up your sleeves for a chef-led cooking class of Piemontese dishes. During your culinary adventure you will visit an underground wine cellar for an exclusive tasting of the producer’s Moscato d’Asti wine, before returning to the restaurant to savor a lunch of your handmade creations. After returning to your hotel in the afternoon, enjoy free time to relax poolside or discover the surrounding area at your own pace.

Day 5

Set off to explore the medieval town of Asti with the help of your local expert. Begin with a visit to a quaint pasticceria (pastry shop) where you’ll learn how local Astigiani cookies and pastries are made by hand, before enjoying a sampling. Afterward, discover Asti’s picturesque medieval neighborhoods and famed towers during a private walking tour, before traveling to the home of a winemaking family for a wine inspired lunch in the unique setting of the family’s own kitchen. This afternoon you will have free time to experience the noted wine towns of Barolo and Barbaresco at your leisure, before returning to your hotel by chauffeur in the evening.

Day 6

Bid farewell to Piemonte’s vineyard landscapes and depart for the swirling baroque masterpiece that is Torino, the region’s cosmopolitan capital. Arrive for check-in at your sophisticated, four-star city stay before embarking on a fascinating guided visit of the 17th century Palazzo Carignano, the birthplace of the first king of Italy Vittorio Emanuele II and an UNESCO designated historical site. Savor lunch at an antique osteria known for its regional delicacies, such as vitello tonnato and bagna cauda, before embarking on a scenic drive through the surrounding hillsides of Superga and the Colle della Maddalena. End your privately guided day with a stroll along the 17th century arcades lining Piazza San Carlo and Piazza Vittorio Veneto, before visiting one of the city’s most noted craft breweries for an authentic Torinese aperitivo.

Day 7

Today your chauffeur will transport you to the nearby province of Biella where your local guide will lead you along the picturesque cobblestone streets of a walled medieval village captured in time. Day 8
