Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Your vinicultural voyage through Bordeaux will begin with arrival to Bordeaux Airport, where your private chauffeur will welcome you. Set off for your grand five-star stay situated on the Left Bank. This afternoon will be an exclusive introduction to the region’s world class vintages with a premium five-flight tasting, before savoring an elegant welcome dinner at your hotel’s revered Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 2

Experience Bordeaux’s iconic Left Bank with a day in the vines. Visit the hallowed cellars of a pre-eminent, first growth estate for an exclusive, private tasting, before touring the maison of a storied producer of a seminal French aperitif wine. Lunch will be enjoyed in the divine ambiance of a historic chateau, before traveling onward to the 16th century Chateau de Cadillac for free time to explore. Your afternoon will be dedicated to the golden nectar that is Sauternes. Be welcomed at the enchanting estate of renowned producer to learn about the process of “noble rot” during a private cellar tour, before tasting a flight of Premier Cru Classé wines paired with local artisan cheeses.

Day 3

Spend a leisurely morning in the brilliant city of Bordeaux with free time to discover its UNESCO World Heritage center, a resplendent example of 18th century French architecture, from the magnificent Place de la Bourse to the Place de la Comédie. Your afternoon will be an exploration of the Medoc and its finest second and third growth crus, with tasting visits at two of the regions finest estates. Dinner will be a foray into the gastronomic flavors of the region with a Michelin-starred tasting menu of contemporary Bordelais inspired cuisine at an exquisite 17th century chateau in the vineyards.

Day 4

From the Left Bank of Bordeaux, your chauffeur will whisk you away to uncover the legendary viticulture and antique treasures of Cognac. Tour the historic halls and fabled aging cellars of an illustrious chateau from the 10th century, before being treated to a one of a kind private tasting experience. Led by an expert sommelier, you will discover the nuances of exceptional cognac as it is paired with gastronomic bites prepared exclusively for you by a renowned chef. While away the afternoon exploring the town’s medieval Vieux Cognac district or taking a leisurely stroll along the picturesque Charente river front. This evening you’ll arrive to your sublime Right Bank five-star hotel for check-in.

Day 5

After a leisurely breakfast and morning of relaxation at your hotel’s world class Cinq Mondes Spa, you will be chauffeured to the ancient village of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage dream encircled by velvety Bordeaux vineyards. Spend free time traversing the town’s medieval heart of undulating stone streets, wine cellars, and Romanesque churches. Day 6

Today you will be introduced to the illustrious Right Bank vineyards surrounding Saint-Émilion. Be welcomed at an acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant for a gourmet lunch of creative French cuisine paired with Grand Crus and Premier Grand Crus vintages. Your afternoon will be punctuated with a winemaker led visit and private tasting at a prestigious boutique estate, before traveling to the village of Libourne for free time to peruse the lovely boutiques and sidewalk cafes of its charming centre-ville.

Day 7

Bid Bordeaux adieu as you are chauffeured to Bordeaux Airport for departure, or continue your Encounter onward in the Loire Valley or Occitanie region.
