Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Be welcomed at Lyon Airport by your private chauffeur and set off for the heart of atmospheric Vieux Lyon. This evening you will settle in to your sumptuous five-star stay before savoring the authentic flavors of a Lyonnais bouchon with dinner in the city’s 3rd arrondissement.

Day 2

This morning will begin with a stunning funicular ride to the top of Fourviere Hill for spellbinding views of Lyon, before discovering vestiges of the city’s Roman Past with the help of your Regional Ambassador. Savor a traditional brasserie experience for lunch before uncovering the artistic pedigree of the city. Visit the home of the famed Lumière brothers, inventors of the motion picture, and survey Lyon’s vibrant street murals and al fresco trompe l'oeil masterpieces, before delighting in an afternoon tasting of traditional patisserie.

Day 3

Delve into the gastronomic heritage of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes with a day in the country. Visit quaint family farms dedicated to the creation of singular gourmet specialties, as you sample such epicurean delights as fromage de chèvre, escargot and saucisson. Day 5

Delight in a guided morning visit of Beaune’s vibrant farmers market to procure fresh, seasonal ingredients for today’s culinary immersion, before returning to the atelier for a hands-on cooking course celebrating the gastronomy of Burgundy in several courses. Your glorious day of cooking will be rewarded with a multi-course lunch expertly paired with hand-selected wines.

Day 6

Explore the iconic Cote d’Or appellation with a day of tastings worthy of the region. Begin with a private cellar tasting of old vintages at a storied producer before visiting the underground cheese cave of a gourmet fromagerie to savor an exclusive cheese and Grand Crus pairing. Visit Beaune’s Gothic, 15th century masterpiece the Hospices de Beaune, before traveling to Pommard to visit the estate of a family of fifth generation winemakers to sample their fine Pinot Noir vintages. Today’s gourmet journey will culminate with a Michelin-starred dining experience in the heart of the Côte de Beaune.

Day 7

Discover Dijon’s signature toits bourguignons (Burgundy roofs) adorned with glazed tiles during a private walking tour led by your Regional Ambassador, before savoring the local flavors of the city during lunch. Day 8

Day 9
