Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Be greeted in Zurich by your private chauffeur and transported to lovely Luzern for check-in to your 19th century five-star hotel nestled on the banks of Lake Lucerne. In the afternoon be welcomed to Lucerne by your local guide and depart for an afternoon walking tour of Lucerne’s old city. Along the way, admire the idyllic Reuss River while stopping to visit such treasured sites as the Rathaus Steg Bridge and the Chapel Bridge, Europe’s oldest covered bridge.

Day 2

Embark on a scenic boat ride to the hamlet of Vitznau, located at the base of Mt. Rigi, where you'll depart on the oldest cogwheel train in Europe, and enjoy a stunning ride to Mt. Rigi. Upon arrival to Mt. Rigi set off on a scenic private hike through its idyllic alpine landscapes before stopping at a quaint chalet style eatery to savor traditional recipes from the region. Enjoy a panoramic cable car ride before returning to Lucerne for a free evening.

Day 3

Depart Luzern by chauffeur for the Swiss capital of Bern, where you'll check-in to your five-star palace hotel. Discover Bern’s medieval Old City with the help of your local expert during a private walking tour. Stroll along its impressive arcades lined with Baroque buildings and visit the city’s most historic neighborhoods, such as the Kramgasse, know for its guild houses and merchant shops. Marvel at Bern’s famed Zytglogge clock tower featuring whimsical animated characters and intricate moving pieces, before stopping for a lunch of regional Bernese specialties at a classic eatery dating back to the 1800’s. Continue your walking tour through Bern’s Old City with a climb to the top of its late Gothic cathedral to take in exquisite views over the city.

Day 4

Dive into Swiss gastronomy within the heart of the Emmental. Your chauffeur will transport you to a bread-maker where you will make your own loaf of traditional Ankezüpfe, a Sunday bread beloved by the locals. You will next visit an artisanal cheese farm, to learn about the authentic Emmental cheese making process, before enjoying a special sampling of cheeses paired with regional wine. Your day will end with a feast at a traditional Bernese country style inn where you will savor hearty local cuisine before returning to Bern for a free evening.

Day 5

Depart Bern by chauffeur for the quaint town of Interlaken where you will arrive at your luxurious five-star hotel and spa. After check-in, be transported to the fairy tale town of Thun to begin your privately guided exploration, including a visit of its Old Town, before discovering its 12th century castle. Embark on a cruise along Lake Thun aboard a historic paddle steamer to admire majestic views of the surrounding alpine mountains and lakefront villages. End your guided day with a lunch of contemporary Swiss cuisine before returning to your hotel to enjoy a free evening.

Day 6

Spend the day independently discovering Interlaken and its spellbinding natural landscapes, or pamper yourself at your hotel’s first-class spa.

Day 7

Set off for the quaintest corner of the Bernese Oberland with arrival to the charming village of Gimmelwald. Delight in dramatic alpine views while admiring the quintessentially Swiss charm of the village. Next, you will embark on a stunning cable car ride up to the summit of the Schilthorn mountain to dine at the famed Piz Gloria, Europe’s first revolving restaurant with a 360-degree mountain panorama including the Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger. Return back down the mountain where your chauffeur will be waiting to transport you to Zermatt for check-in to your glorious five-star mountain retreat.

Day 8

Enjoy a full free day to discover Zermatt at your leisure.

Day 9

Today you will embark on one of the world’s most dramatic train rides with the Glacier Express. Take in exquisite views of dramatic Alpine landscapes, mountain streams, meadows, and quaint villages, from your first-class panorama viewing car, while en route to St. Moritz. During your train journey you will also enjoy lunch on-board before arriving to St. Moritz for check-in to your sumptuous five-star hotel.

Day 10

Enjoy a day of Alpine exploration with your expert local guide, starting in Pontresina where you will take a scenic cable car ride to the Upper Engadine lakes and mountain ranges, culminating with a view from the top of Muottas Muragl. Savor a panoramic lunch while atop the mountain before continuing your guided adventure with a visit to the lovely town of Zuoz to learn more about Graubunden’s ancient Romansch culture and language.

Day 11

After breakfast, depart St. Moritz via chauffeur for Zürich. Arrive for check-in at your deluxe city center hotel, before being welcomed by your local expert and setting off on a privately guided tour of Zurich’s Old Town. Visit the Fraumunster Church to admire its series of beautifully vibrant stained glass windows designed by the artist Marc Chagall. Discover the Old Town’s elegant Bahnhofstrasse where historic charm meets couture in a sumptuous swirl of elegant shop windows. Along the way you will dine at one of Zurich’s historic Zunfthaus guild houses.

Day 12

Begin your day with a visit to one of Zurich’s most unique art galleries housed within the factory of a former brewery. Next, depart by chauffeur for a family owned winery on the banks of the Rhein river for a special vineyard walk and tasting, before savoring a rustic lunch.

Day 13

Bid Zurich farewell and depart by chauffeur for Zurich Kloten Airport in preparation for your return flight or the next leg of your adventure.
