Day 2

Today you will be immersed in the local flavors and food products that have made Norcia an epicurean standout, from its prized black truffles and tradition of the Norcinerie (butchery shops dedicated to the curing of pork), to the area’s historic production of craft beers. Start the day with a local truffle expert who will lead you on the centuries-old tradition of hunting for this clandestine tuber through the forests of Norcia. Following the hunt, stop to savor a special lunch showcasing the earthly and aromatic aromas of the black truffle. Return to Norcia where you’ll be greeted by your local guide and set off to discover the town with a private walking tour.
