Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport where you will be welcomed by your private chauffeur. Depart on a scenic drive through the dramatic beauty of the Dolomites of Südtirol’s Alta Badia while en route to your luxurious five-star Alpine retreat, a sophisticated blend of traditional Ladin style and refined modern touches. Day 2

Today you will embark on a delicious adventure along the Val di Fassa cheese route. Begin with a visit to a delightful caseificio (cheese farm) to learn about the region’s rustic cheese making traditions before sampling an assortment of their tasty creations. Next, visit an artisanal producer of typical charcuterie for a tasting of delectable cured meats, such as Lucanica del Trentino, followed by an authentic South Tyrolean style lunch. In the afternoon, visit the lovely Alpine resort town of Canazei for a privately guided walking tour, before stopping at a quaint enoteca for a tasting of regional wines and locally produced distillations.

Day 3

Set-off by chauffeur to a charming mountain farm where you will enjoy a hands-on cooking class of typical Ladin cuisine from the Alta Badia. When your dishes are ready, you’ll sit down to savor your handmade specialties for lunch. Return to your luxe mountain retreat for a free afternoon to relax at your hotel’s enchanting spa and wellness center, or cozy up with a good book and an aperitif while admiring the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Day 4

Whisk away to the majestic natural landscapes of the Seiser Alm region, where today you will experience some of its most scenic villages. Arrive in the village of Castelrotto and be greeted by your local expert before embarking on a privately guided exploration of this quaint village of flower boxes, fountains and fairy tale architecture. Enjoy lunch at a typical eatery specializing in South Tyrolean cuisine before traveling to the town of Fie allo Sciliar, located at the foot of the imposing Sciliar mountain, for a guided tour. Next, set off for nearby Castle Prösels, first built in the 13th century, for a private, insider’s look at its medieval origins as a fort and transformation into a grand Renaissance residence in the early 16th century.

Day 5

From the mountain ranges of the Alta Badia you will depart by chauffeur for the breathtaking vineyard landscapes of the Südtirol. Arrive at an abbey dating back to the 12th century for a tour of the estate followed by a tasting of their signature wines accompanied by locally produced gourmet products. Day 6

In the afternoon travel to the storybook town of Tramin, original home of the Gewürztraminer grape varietal, located along the South Tyrolean wine road. Day 7

After breakfast, depart by chauffeur for a traditional South Tyrolean farm to engage in a special cooking class where you’ll learn how to prepare typical dishes of the region using seasonal ingredients, before savoring your rustic dishes. You’ll next travel to the spa town of Merano for a free afternoon to admire its historic architecture spanning from the medieval to the Belle Epoque.

Day 8

Afterward, travel by chauffeur to the beautiful city of Bolzano, an important crossroads of Northern European and Mediterranean culture as evidenced through its striking architecture, culture and gastronomy.
