Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Your grand tour of Spain will begin by arriving at Barcelona El-Prat airport, where your private chauffeur will be waiting to welcome you. Travel to your chic, five-star hotel located in Barcelona’s historic Barri Gotic for check-in, before enjoying some free time to get acquainted with the city at your own pace. In the evening, savor an elegant welcome dinner at your hotel’s gourmet restaurant.

Day 2

Today you will explore Barcelona’s ancient Barri Gotic with the help of your local expert. During your private walking tour you will explore the Gothic quarter’s ancient Roman and medieval architecture, while learning about its evolution through the ages. Stop to enjoy a lunch of local seafood specialties and typical arrozes, before continuing your private tour along Barcelona’s vibrant La Rambla. Next, you'll visit the city’s famed bastion of cuisine, the Boqueria Market, for a taste of something sweet. End the day with a scenic walk along the city’s seafront district.

Day 3

Set-off in the afternoon to experience two of Barcelona’s most beloved architectural wonders designed by the illustrious Antoni Gaudi. Begin with a privately guided tour of the dynamic masterpiece that is La Sagrada Familia, with its inspiring combination of Art Noveau and Catalan Modernist architecture immortalizing the glory of nature in design. Next, with the help of your local expert, you will discover the whimsical structures and colorful mosaic work of Gaudi’s Parc Guell. Following your in-depth exploration of Gaudi’s Barcelona, savor a dinner of regional Catalan specialties in the heart of the city.

Day 4

From Barcelona you will next travel to the historic city of Zaragoza where your local guide will take you on an exploration of the city’s UNESCO recognized Mudejar architecture, and such important sights as the Lonja, Casca Viejo, Mercado Central and the Basilica del Pilar. Stop for a lunch of local Zaragozan specialties before visiting the Aljaferia Palace, an Arabic fortification from the 11th century. After your tour of Zaragoza, travel by chauffeur to the heart of Pamplona for check-in to your opulent four-star hotel housed within a grand 18th century palace.

Day 5

Discover the charm of Pamplona with your local expert as you enjoy a privately guided tour of of the city. Learn about the cultural heritage of Pamplona and the region of Navarra, while admiring the delightful plazas and historic neighborhoods found within the oldest quarter of the city. Next, delve into some of the region’s most delicious culinary offerings with lunch at a quaint eatery. In the afternoon your local expert will take you on a fascinating look at the Camino de Santiago, the pilgrimage route of St. James, which runs through Pamplona.

Day 6

Following breakfast and check-out, you will depart Pamplona by chauffeur for the famed wine town of Logroño in the Rioja region. Set off on a guided exploration of the city led by a local expert, culminating with a unique tapas walk. During your tapas walk, you'll sample local specialties like patatas alla Riojana and chistorra paired with local Riojan wines, along the city’s preeminent gastronomic strip, Calle Laurel. From Logroño your chauffeur will transport you to Ribera del Duero wine country for check-in to your five-star luxury wine retreat housed within a 12th century abbey. Savor an elegant dinner of countryside dishes from the Valladolid province paired with estate produced Abadia Retuerta vintages.

Day 7

Today you will experience one of Ribera del Duero’s most preeminent wine producing dynasties with an exclusive tour and tasting at the esteemed Emilio Moro winery. Next, you will visit the modern cellars of an innovative new producer to enjoy a special tasting of their unique wines followed by lunch. When your day of wine tasting has concluded, you will return to your hotel by chauffeur for a free evening.

Day 8

Leave the quaint Ribero Del Duero countryside for the grand city of Segovia, a UNESCO world heritage site. Relive the city’s ancient history while touring its perfectly preserved Roman aqueduct built in 50 AD, with the knowledgeable insights of your local expert. Enjoy a private tour of the city’s Alcazar, the most important fortress of the province and onetime residence of the Kingdom of Castile’s nobility. Savor a lunch featuring the area’s celebrated olives and local charcuterie, before traveling by chauffeur to Spain’s cosmopolitan capital Madrid, for check-in to your sophisticated five-star design hotel.

Day 9

Feel the vibrant spirit of the city like a true Madrileño by experiencing some of its most distinct barrios. With the help of your local expert, get acquainted with Madrid starting in the Los Austrias quarter to get a sense of how the city felt during the Hapsburg reign, with its grand architecture, scenic passageways and churches, such as the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor and the lively Calle de Santiago. Next, stop for lunch at a traditional Meson where regional flavors and typical specialties are served with charm. After lunch, visit the vibrant La Latina barrio, known for its authentic Castilian sensibility, quintessential Madrileño architecture and strong tradition of tavernas and tapas. End your guided day in the literary heart of Madrid, known as the Barrio de las Letras, where some of Spain’s most famous literary giants lived and created, including Cervantes.

Day 10

Admire the masterpieces of Madrid’s famed El Prado museum with the help of your local art guide, before indulging on a special lunch in the posh barrio of Salamanca. Afterward, delight in a visit to the magnificent green space that is Buen Retiro Park, complete with elegant sculptures, gardens, and a tranquil lake. An oasis of calm amidst the bustling energy of the city, the park is the perfect place to observe everyday life in Madrid.

Day 11

Today you will whisk away to the UNESCO world heritage site of Toledo, rich in Christian, Jewish and Moorish influences, architecture, and cultural treasures. Your local expert will take you on a unique walking tour of the city’s hidden streets, while stopping along the way to visit its marvelous Gothic Cathedral and Synagogue de El Transito. Stop for a lunch of Toledo’s signature dishes at a historic eatery. In the afternoon, admire El Greco’s triumphant Burial of the Count of Orgaz in the church of Santo Tomé, before visiting the Monasterio de San Juan de Los Reyes. End your day with a sweet repose to sample Toledo’s typical marzipan confections, a treat descended from the city’s Moorish roots.

Day 12

Bid Madrid farewell and following breakfast, depart by chauffeur for Madrid Barajas Airport, in preparation for your return flight or the next leg of your adventure.
